Below are some of the highlights from the NAR Legislative Meetings that concluded this week. Read more here.
- Past Texas REALTORS® Chairman Brooke Hunt was awarded the NAR Distinguished Service Award.
- Texas REALTORS® Immediate Past Chairman Jef Conn was appointed by NAR Leadership Team as NAR’s 2026 Commercial & Industry Specialties Liaison
- James Martin, member of the Texas REALTORS® Legislative Management Team, was appointed by NAR Leadership Team as NAR’s 2026 Public & Federal Issues Liaison.
- Immediate Past Chair Russell Berry will serve as 2025 NAR RVP for Region 10.
- Texas had a record-breaking 49 inductees into the RPAC Hall of Fame.
- Texas REALTORS® was recognized as the top RPAC fundraiser for the Corporate Ally Program.
- Clarified language in NAR’s Code of Ethics Standard of Practice 10-5.
- Repealed the optional non-commingling rule from the MLS Policy Handbook.
- The required fair housing training for appraisers through the Appraiser Qualifications Board or the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board will satisfy NAR’s Fair Housing training requirement.
- The Corpus Christi Association of REALTORS® name change request was approved. Their new name will be the Coastal Bend Association of REALTORS®.
